The Treasury Department's cash-management buyback on September 9 accepted 12,500,000,000 dollars of 1-month to 2-year nominal coupon securities, equal to the 12,500,000,000 dollar maximum. Dealers offered 28,027,000,000 dollars. Treasury accepted 27 of 45 eligible issues. Settlement is September 10. The previous operation in the same bucket, on September 3, also accepted the 12,500,000,000 dollar cap against 28,272,000,000 dollars offered.
