Texas factory production index rose to 29.5 in September
The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas said Texas manufacturing output growth accelerated in September. The production index rose to 29.5 from 16.1 in August. New orders rose to 30.7 from 22.0 and shipments rose to 24.8 from 14.1. Employment rose to 15.1 from 8.0. General business activity eased to 9.8 from 11.6, and the company outlook index fell to 8.7 from 19.2. Prices paid for raw materials rose to 52.2 from 44.1. The future general business activity index fell to 20.8 from 37.2.
