Atlanta Fed GDPNow held at 3.7 percent for the third quarter
The Atlanta Fed said the GDPNow model estimate for real GDP growth in the third quarter of 2026 is 3.7 percent on October 6, unchanged from October 1 after rounding. After recent releases from Census, BLS, BEA, and the Institute for Supply Management, the nowcast of third-quarter real personal consumption expenditures growth rose from 3.3 percent to 3.4 percent, and the nowcast of third-quarter real gross private domestic investment growth rose from 21.4 percent to 21.5 percent.
