Real GDP revised up to 2.2 percent in the second quarter
The Bureau of Economic Analysis third estimate put second-quarter 2026 real GDP at a 2.2 percent annual rate, revised up 0.7 percentage point from the 1.5 percent second estimate. First-quarter real GDP was revised to 2.5 percent. Real GDI rose 2.6 percent. The quarterly PCE price index increased 5.0 percent, and the index excluding food and energy increased 3.3 percent. Current-dollar GDP increased 8.5 percent. Corporate profits from current production increased $384.0 billion.
